On the Point, is located on our farm, 30 miles Southwest of Aberdeen, SD. Our farm covers over 10 sections of land with shelterbelts, wind breaks, crop cover, dams, sloughs and ground cover, thus making it an excellent home for pheasants and ducks.

All birds are Wild, Big and Fast. They offer a challenge to both the beginner and the avid Hunter. All of the hunt area is on our private land.

This is open hunting. The kind you like. Bring yourself, your friends, and your dog if you wish.

Pheasant hunting is good throughout the season. Actual weather conditions on the hunting date may somewhat control the method of hunting, but the big birds are there.

We close down hunting for the year on the weekend of Thanksgiving.  The reason for this is that the birds do not become stressed, and is also why we have such good hunting here each year.  Our farm provides habitat, food and water all year around for the birds as well as vast nesting areas.

Most Pheasant Hunters believe that "Opening Weekend" and the next 2 weeks are the best times to hunt Pheasants.  This is not necessarily true.  As a rule, the first couple of weeks are the most popular, but not necessarily the best hunting.  The reason, is that the crops (soybeans and corn) may not be completely harvested yet.  The more crops harvested, the less cover for the birds and places to hide.  The 3rd, 4th and 5th weeks are terrific hunting.  There is less cover for the birds, and the shooting is absolutely terrific.

Duck hunting will also challenge your skills.  With plenty of food available, our farm has become a favorite stop over for migrating flocks.
